About URC
Urban Roots Collective operates off of Barefoot Acres, a 50+ acre farm in Fountain Inn, SC. URC is a female owned and operated regenerative farm that provides produce, florals, meat and more for the Upstate of SC. Not only does URC provide education for their local community but also has a commitment to global encouragement of gardening and getting back to our roots through their social media accounts.
Features of the Farm
Hoop Houses
Four hoop houses adorn the top field at URC, which provide temperature controlled growing environments for the changing seasons. Herbs, flowers and produce can be found growing rotationally in these houses year-round. These were acquired via a NRCS cost-sharing grant that was fulfilled in just one year. Please reach out to us should you have questions about grants.
Tours and Trails
URC offers approximately 2 miles of shaded hiking trails in the wooded acreage of the property. These are available to the public during open farm hours, which vary by season. Well behaved, leashed dogs always welcome!

Barnyard Besties
It wouldn't be URC without our array of barnyard animals! Come and see goats, chickens, pigs, donkeys, and more to round out your farm experience.
Picnic Area
URC has a well-equipped, fully shaded picnic area for you to enjoy during your stay. Trash cans, and port-a-potties available! Whether it's for a birthday party, or just a day date at the farm, we've got you covered!
The Trading Post
Stop in at our "little red market," affectionately named The Trading Post! Filled with local products as well as our seasonal, home-grown goodies from the farm. Cash, Venmo, or prepay through the website are all acceptable forms of payment!
Pay What You Can, Take What You Need
Come and visit our designated Pay What You Can area in the Trading Post stocked weekly with produce and more. URC holds a commitment to making healthy, nutrient dense and home-grown food accessible to all. Occasionally stocked with non-food items from partnering vendors; follow us on social media to get daily updates. Don't need this service but want to help? Use this area in the Trading Post, or the donate button below, to "pay it forward" by listing and leaving a donation so we may continue to provide this at the farm.
